Factory
Kennedy moved to their new premises in 2014 which features a new factory built to keep up with demand for windows and doors. The factory features a selection of state of the art manufacturing equipment to ensure all products are finished to the highest standard.

Window systems available to FIRST manufacturers include the mainstream FIRST Residential series, Metro Series, APL Architectural Series, and Smartwood composite windows and doors. Thermally efficient ThermalHEART windows and doors are also available in two categories.
FIRST has the backing of Architectural Profiles Limited (APL), the supplier of the FIRST system. Hamilton-based APL have been developing windows and doors for many years and are the largest systems supplier to the New Zealand market. Metro Glasstech is supplier to Kennedy Aluminium and is New Zealand’s leading glass and glazing products company with outlets throughout the North and South Islands. The company is recognised as a leader not only in advanced glazing systems but also in upgrade technology, from toughened safety glass and insulated glass units to colour backed and décor glass ranges.
Metro Glasstech maintains sophisticated research and testing facilities as well as modern toughening and double glazing plants. A wide range of glass types is supplied to market including reflective and coated glass, laminated glass, IGU’s and thermal coating products.
