Hardware is often one of the defining features of windows and doors. The form and function of handles and latches provide a tactile experience that can considerably enhance the appearance and usability of FIRST windows and doors.

Unity of design and consistency of performance shape the look and feel of the MIRO, ICON and URBO ranges of window and door hardware. Achieving a family likeness within each range was a priority; achieving excellent functionality was a requirement.

Each range has a different look to ensure varying customer tastes are catered for. There is a choice of stainless steel hardware, the ICON range, for those applications where a robust, metallic and highly durable window and door locks are required.

The MIRO range of door and window hardware offers a unified look that carries through from exterior to interior joinery. MIRO shapes are contemporary and functional, and include handles for internal timber doors.

The smooth, ergonomic MIRO shapes offer great aesthetics as well as comfortable hand grips. Secure and convenient locking features are included with four-point hinged door lockinga generally standard.

Alternatively, there are hardware options from a standard range of window catches and door locks. The standard colour is black powder coat with upgrade options available including colour matching to the joinery.

The URBO range of door and window hardware offers clean shapes with a stylish combination of square and radiused edges.

A fineness of line offers a lighter look than MIRO or ICON but with no compromise on strength or performance.

URBO hardware is designed for aluminium windows and doors, as well as for internal timber doors.

ICON is a fully integrated range of stainless steel hardware for aluminium windows and doors. The family likeness is apparent across all products, from window fasteners to sliding door handles. The square-edge aesthetics give the range an emphatic contemporary look.

The 316-grade stainless steel provides maximum resistance to rust but periodic maintenance is necessary to ensure lustre and appearance are preserved.
